Transportation & Planning
- The Central New Jersey Transportation Forum formed in January 1999 as a commitment to address issues and concerns that arose from the Millstone Bypass Congestion Management System study. Since then it has established itself as its own entity, driven by the energies of the stakeholders to address various transportation concerns in the region. Its goals are to provide a forum for a broad range of interested stakeholders to identify and discuss major transportation and land-use issues; and to develop a consensus for appropriate planning strategies that will address identified critical issues. This is a totally interactive process in which stakeholders, with their intimate knowledge of the region, have an active role in the preliminary planning stages.
- The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission for over 30 years, DVRPC works to foster regional cooperation in a nine-county, two state area. City, county and state representatives work together to address key issues, including transportation, land use, environmental protection and economic development.

- The Alan M. Vorhees Transportation Center (VTC) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is a national leader in the research and development of innovative transportation policy.
- Transit-Friendly Development: an online newsletter of transit-oriented development and land use in New Jersey, designed to keep municipal officials, planners and advocates up-to-date on the potential for development and redevelopment around transit stations.
